“Good and clean location!”

“Fantastic staff! Very helpful!”

“It was refreshing to stay at a nice, clean motel. You could see that they have done repair work, but they also painted the wall to blend it in, which is a step that a lot if hotels don't take these days. The bed was super soft, clean rooms, and the desk guy was super friendly. Our only complaint was that there was no biscuits and gravy, but the lady explained why. If a lack of sausage was the worst complaint, then that is a sign that this was a very nice hotel.”

“Friendly and helpful desk staff. Clean room. The sink however was awkwardly made. The faucet was off to the side and the counter was not flush against the wall causing water to spill onto the floor each time the sink was used. Had to keep a towel on the floor.”

“Pretty clean, good for the price and a one night stay. Bedding and towels were clean. Pillows were good but the mattress wasn’t super comfy.”

“Breakfast wad included and had several choices. Mo phone in room or information about the property such as pool, fitness center, hours for breakfast.”

“I travel to So. Illinois annually to visit but this is my first stay at the Makanda Inn. It will not be my last. I had a very peaceful stay- after long days of family visit and running around with the grands, it was so nice to stay here where it was quiet and relaxing. Breakfast every morning was top notch and just the right portions.”

“We enjoyed our stay at the well outfitted cabin near the Shawnee Wine Trail. Cabin is conveniently located near Giant City State Park and the lodge restaurant. ”

“I wanted to experience what is it like to live in a tiny house. At this property I finally got a chance to do that. The house has peaceful surroundings and everything you need for a couple inside. Just don’t forget your own spoons and forks. Beware of a ladder to the bedroom upstairs. If you are night traveler to a bathroom- it may become a hassle. Also, try not to bump your head in the bedroom. Me and my husband had wonderful stay in this place. I loved those cute, easy to open windows and a……

“The cabin was great! A few little extras for a welcome package. Did not skimp on the towels and bedding. Great decor. Loved it!!!”

“The pond did not look like it did in the picture and it was a disgusting color and did not have a beach walk in area. There was also a bug in the refrigerator and on the floor by the refrigerator and then another bug by the garbage can and there was dog food from previous people that wasn’t picked up also thought it was ridiculous at 830 in the morning there was a mowing crew outside that was woken up to on my vacation and I took pictures of it ”

“Steve was quick to respond to texts and easy to work with. Cabin was very clean. A nice basket of snacks was a pleasant surprise. Very quiet and clean surrounding area. We will definitely stay here again.”
